Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Centenary College, popularly known as Rahara V.C. College, is a science college located in Rahara, Kolkata, situated in Rahara, Khardaha, North 24 Parganas district, West Bengal, India. It is exclusively for boys and is administered by the Ramakrishna Mission Order. Named after Swami Vivekananda, it was inaugurated in 1963, a century after his birth, and was formerly affiliated with Calcutta University before becoming affiliated with the West Bengal State University. The college is autonomous, granted this status by the UGC from the 2017–18 session, and holds 'potential for excellence (CPE)' status as well as being a DST-FIST sponsored centre. It is accredited 'A++' by NAAC with a CGPA of 3.8. The college offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including PhD programs, in Chemistry, Botany, Physics, Mathematics, Zoology, Microbiology, and Computer Science. It has two auditoriums, R. K. Hall and Vivekananda Hall, plus a larger Sri Ramakrishna Hall, and a multi-gym named after Sister Nivedita. The college was ranked 3rd among colleges in India by NIRF in 2024 and 6th in 2025. Notable alumni include Tapan K. Datta, Manoj Prasad, Sankar K. Pal, Ujjwal Maulik, and Goutam Halder.
