Bakhtiyarpur College of Engineering

Bakhtiyarpur College of Engineering (BCE Patna) is a public institute situated in Bakhtiyarpur, Patna, operating under the Department of Science and Technology, Bihar. It was established in 2016 by the Government of Bihar, and its first academic session began that year on the old university grounds of the Indian Institute of Technology Patna in the Pataliputra Housing Colony. The college is recognized by the AICTE and is affiliated with Bihar Engineering University (BEU). It offers full-time Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree programs across seven engineering branches. Admissions were initially conducted via the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) based on merit lists, but after 2019, admissions to state engineering colleges in Bihar shifted to being based on JEE-MAIN marks. The college's new, dedicated campus at Bakhtiyarpur was inaugurated on February 2, 2020, located about 3.5 km from Bakhtiyarpur Junction railway station, near Dedaur village. The campus includes academic and administrative buildings, a library with a public canteen, hostels for boys and girls, residencies for the principal and professors, security buildings, an open theatre, and sports grounds. Additional facilities include a photography setup, a language lab, a computer science arena, and an anti-ragging committee, with further construction underway for a new academic building, girls' hostel, and auditorium.
