SRI AUROBINDO MEDICAL COLLEGE & POSTGRADUATE INSTITUTE, INDORE

Sri Aurobindo Medical College and Post Graduate Institute (SAMC & PGI) is the medical education component of the Sri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Sciences (SAIMS), a private institute located in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India. Established by Dr. Vinod Bhandari in 2003 and named after the philosopher Sri Aurobindo, SAIMS holds the largest campus among medical colleges in Madhya Pradesh, situated on the Indore–Ujjain highway. The college offers the MBBS undergraduate programme and postgraduate/super-specialty training (MD/MS/DM/MCh), and is included in the NMC seat matrix for both levels. It hosts an NMC-recognised Regional Centre for Medical Education Technologies (RCMET) for faculty development. The campus includes an attached multi-speciality teaching hospital, Mohak Hitech Speciality Hospital (Mohak Bariatrics & Robotics), known for bariatric and minimally invasive surgery innovations, and IRCAD India, a joint venture for training in minimally invasive surgery established in November 2023. In 2023, SAIMS was listed as an ESMO-designated centre for integrated oncology and palliative care. Admissions to MBBS are through NEET-UG, and postgraduate admissions through NEET-PG, followed by counselling per NMC and state regulations. In September 2023, SAIMS announced tuition fee exemption for that year's postgraduate admits. The institution has several sister institutions, including nursing, dental, and paramedical colleges, and associated hospitals such as Mohak Cancer Hospital and Bhandari Hospital and Research Centre.
