Management Development Institute Murshidabad

Management Development Institute (MDI) is a private business school in India, originally established in 1973 by the Industrial Finance Corporation of India, with its main campus located in Gurgaon. On August 24, 2014, MDI inaugurated its second campus in Murshidabad, West Bengal, marking the launch of its Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM). This inauguration was commemorated in the presence of the then Honorable President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee. The Murshidabad campus represents an expansion of MDI's academic offerings beyond its original Gurgaon location, extending its management education programmes to West Bengal. While detailed information about the Murshidabad campus's facilities, faculty, or specific programme structure is not elaborated in available records, it is tied to MDI's broader academic framework, which includes full-time and executive postgraduate diploma programmes in management, business analytics, human resource management, and international business. MDI as an institution has built a reputation through national rankings and accreditations such as AACSB and AMBA for its programmes, and maintains international exchange partnerships, though these details pertain primarily to the Gurgaon campus rather than Murshidabad specifically.
