Pendekanti Institute of Management
Pendekanti Law College was founded in 1991 by Pendekanti Venkatasubbaiah, a former Governor of Bihar and Karnataka, and is affiliated with Osmania University. Established by Vasavi Academy of Education, it was formally inaugurated on 13 April 1991 by then Chief Justice of India Ranganadha Misra, with Governor Krishna Kanth as chief guest. The college began with a three-year LL.B evening course and later introduced a three-year day course and a five-year LL.B course for post-intermediate students. It now occupies a five-storey building at Viveknagar, Chikkadpally, Hyderabad, having earlier operated from a three-floor building in Himayatnagar. The college has an 11-member full-time faculty and a library with nearly 5000 books, 70 years of All India Reporter volumes, and subscriptions to 18 law journals. It awards several memorial medals and prizes to top students and conducts moot court competitions, including the Pendekanti Venkatasubbaiah Memorial South India Moot Court. Students have achieved notable success in moot court competitions and university rankings. The college also publishes a student magazine called LEX Visio and has a governing body led by a president, vice-president, secretary, and treasurer.
