Biswa Bangla Biswabidyalay is a state-aided university situated in Bolpur, Birbhum, West Bengal. It was established in 2020 through the Biswa Bangla Biswabidyalay Act, 2017, enacted by the Government of West Bengal in memory of Rabindranath Tagore, the renowned poet and Nobel laureate. The university aims to establish a Center of Excellence devoted to teaching, learning and research across various branches of study. Prof. Abu Taleb Khan is the current Vice-Chancellor. The university comprises several schools: School of Science, School of Humanities, School of Social Science, School of Fine Arts & Professional Studies, School of Education and Sports, and School of Professional Studies, each housing multiple departments offering new and existing courses, with a PhD program upcoming.
