INDIAN INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT INDORE

IIM Indore is an autonomous public business school in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, founded in 1996 as the sixth Indian Institute of Management, after IIM Calcutta, IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, IIM Lucknow, and IIM Kozhikode. It initially operated from the Government Polytechnic College in Rajendra Nagar before moving to its current 193-acre campus at Prabandh Shikhar in 2003. Its first MBA batch of 37 students began in June 1998, with Dr. Vijendra Nath Asopa as its first director. Over the years, the institute introduced programmes such as the Fellow Programme in Management, Executive Post Graduate Programme (EPGP), and the Five Year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM), the first undergraduate program launched by an IIM. It also briefly operated campuses in Ras al-Khaimah/Dubai (2011–2014) and Mumbai (2012–2019). In 2017, it was designated an institute of national importance. In December 2019, IIM Indore received the EQUIS accreditation, making it the second IIM to hold the Triple Crown Accreditation (AMBA, AACSB, and EQUIS). The campus includes multiple hostels, a Learning Centre, and a sports complex, and is situated near the Pithampur Special Economic Zone off the Agra-Bombay Highway.
