IIIT Guwahati (IIIT G) is one of the Indian Institutes of Information Technology located in Guwahati, Assam, India. It was established in 2013 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, under a public-private partnership model with industry partners including Tata Consultancy Services, Oil India, Srei Infrastructure Finance, Assam Electronics Development Corp (Amtron), Novatium and Medhassu eSolutions. It was declared an Institute of National Importance under the Indian Institutes of Information Technology (Public-Private Partnership) Act, 2017. The institute began operations in temporary premises at the Assam Textile Institute campus in Ambari, Guwahati, before shifting to its permanent 67-acre campus at Santola village, Bongora, on July 2, 2018, located 4 km from Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport. IIITG offers B.Tech. degrees in computer science and engineering and electronics and communication engineering, admission based on JEE-Main ranks, along with M.Tech. and Ph.D. programmes. It houses departments of Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mathematics, and Humanities and Social Sciences. In 2022, NIRF ranked it 112 among engineering colleges in India. Its annual festival, Yuvaan, is a technical, sports and cultural event.
