JUBILEE MISSION HOSPITAL THRISSUR

Jubilee Mission Medical College and Research Institute, located in Thrissur, Kerala, is a private, non-profit Christian minority institution administered by the Jubilee Mission Hospital Trust under the Catholic Archdiocese of Thrissur. Originally established on 17 December 1951 as the Bishop Alapatt Jubilee Memorial Hospital, it began as a small dispensary with 4 rooms, 20 beds, and a handful of staff. Under Dr. H.S. Adenwalla's leadership, it grew into a 1750-bed institution. A nursing school started in 1966, and the Medical Council of India recognized it for internship training in 1971, later designating it a teaching hospital in 2003, leading to the founding of Jubilee Medical College and the Jubilee School of Nursing. The campus spans 25 acres in central Thrissur, housing hospital blocks, a medical college, hostels, and amenities like libraries, a stadium, and a chapel. It operates 5 PHCs and satellite hospitals across Thrissur district. The institute is known for its Charles Pinto Centre for Cleft Lip and Palate, Jubilee Hrudhayalaya cardiac centre, and other specialized departments and units, and has been ranked the top medical school in Kerala under Kerala University of Health Sciences for MBBS exam performance.
