SHREE GURU GOBIND SINGH TRICENTENARY UNIVERSITY, GURGAON

Shree Guru Gobind Singh Tricentenary University, commonly known as SGT University, is located in Budhera, Gurugram district, Haryana, India, near Sultanpur National Park. Its origins trace back to the Dashmesh Educational Charitable Trust, established in 1999 to promote higher and technical education in the National Capital Region. In 2002, the trust founded the SGT Dental College, Hospital and Research Institute, which formed the basis for further expansion into fields like physiotherapy and nursing, evolving into the SGT Group of Institutions. In 2013, this group was granted university status under the Haryana Private Universities (Amendment) Act No. 8 of 2013, formally establishing SGT University as a private university in Haryana. The university now offers more than 200 undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs across 19 faculties and schools, including medicine, dentistry, nursing, engineering, law, and management. It is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and received an 'A+' NAAC accreditation in October 2023. The university has been ranked in various Times Higher Education rankings and its SGT Dental College was ranked 37th among Indian dental colleges by India Today in 2026.
