Ramanujan College

Ramanujan College is a constituent college of the University of Delhi, situated in Kalkaji, near Nehru Place in South Delhi. It was established in 1958 as Deshbandhu College (Evening) by the Ministry of Rehabilitation, in memory of Deshbandhu Gupta, and operated from the premises of Deshbandhu College. Originally a men's college, it became co-educational in 1994 and has been maintained by the University of Delhi since 1972. In 2010, it was renamed Ramanujan College and given seven acres of separate campus space in Kalkaji, becoming a full-fledged morning college in 2012. The college runs fifteen undergraduate courses across Humanities, Commerce, Management, Mathematical Sciences, Computer Science and Vocational Studies, along with various certificate and diploma courses. It also serves as a study center for the Non-Collegiate Women's Education Board and the Indira Gandhi National Open University. It has been accredited grade "A++" by NAAC and designated a Teaching Learning Center and National Resource Center by the MHRD. The college publishes two annual journals and features a modern, environment-friendly campus built in 2017 with smart classrooms, computer labs, a library of over 45,000 books, and centers such as the Centre for Robotics and Artificial Intelligence and the Centre for Ethics and Values.
