Vision International College of Education

Vision International College was founded in 1974 in Launceston, Tasmania, Australia, by Ken Chant, an Australian theologian and author. It is now located in Minto, a suburb of Sydney, New South Wales, and provides vocational ministry training through distance education with an emphasis on community service. The Reverend Denis Plant currently serves as principal. The college began as a local church Bible college in Tasmania, teaching church members ministry skills, and this non-accredited ministry still exists alongside the accredited institution. Vision International College is a registered training organisation in Australia, accredited by the Australian Skills Quality Authority under the Australian Qualifications Framework, offering Certificate III, Certificate IV, Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Graduate Certificate, and Graduate Diploma awards. It maintains partnerships with Vision Christian College, the Internet Bible College, Vision International University in Ramona, California, and Texas University of Theology in Hurst, Texas, allowing students to progress from certificates to academic degrees in theology. The curriculum is rooted in a Pentecostal-Charismatic heritage but remains adaptable to different cultural and theological contexts. The college also assists local churches in establishing their own Bible colleges.
