FDDI Kolkata, established in 2010 within the Kolkata Leather Complex, specializes in footwear, fashion, and leather product design. Admission to FDDI's undergraduate and postgraduate programs is through the FDDI All India Selection Test (FDDI-AIST), a national-level entrance exam followed by counselling. Academic programs include Fashion Design, Footwear Design & Production, Retail & Fashion Management, and Leather Lifestyle and Product Designing, offered as four-year Bachelor of Design courses. The institute also provides industrial consultancy, research and development, and professional training, supported by specialized labs such as computer, photography, pattern making, weaving, dyeing, and leather design labs.
