D N De Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital
D.N. De Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital is a government-run homoeopathic medical college and hospital situated in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. It was originally established in 1927 as the Dunham College of Homoeopathy, making it one of the oldest homeopathic medical colleges in the country. In January 1951, the institution was renamed D.N. De Homoeopathic Medical College in honor of its founder, D. N. De. The college is affiliated with the West Bengal University of Health Sciences, ensuring its academic programs meet recognized standards. It is also officially recognized by the Central Council of Homoeopathy (CCH), the regulatory body overseeing homoeopathic education in India. The institution offers two primary courses of study: the B.H.M.S. (Bachelor in Homoeopathic Medicine & Surgery) undergraduate program and the M.D. (Homoeopathy) postgraduate program. Through these offerings, the college trains students in the practice and theory of homoeopathic medicine, combining both academic instruction and clinical hospital experience. Its long history since 1927 and subsequent renaming reflect its evolution and continued commitment to homoeopathic medical education in the region.
