Maharishi Markandeshwar University, Mullana-Ambala

Maharishi Markandeshwar (Deemed to be University), Mullana, is a private deemed university situated at Mullana near Ambala in Haryana, India. It was established in 1993 and named after Maharishi Markandeshwar. The university provides undergraduate and postgraduate programs across fields such as engineering, hospitality, management, nursing, and healthcare. Its main campus houses several constituent institutions, including the Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, College of Pharmacy, College of Dental Sciences & Research, Engineering College, Institute of Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation, Institute of Computer Technology & Business Management (offering Hotel Management and MCA programs), Institute of Management, College of Nursing, Department of Law, and Department of Agriculture. The campus infrastructure includes 14 hostels, six residential blocks, a sports complex with seven gyms, a swimming pool, a game arena, two shopping centers with four banks, a post office, various eating establishments, and an auditorium that seats about 1,500 people. According to the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), the university was ranked between 151 and 200 in engineering and 35th in medical rankings in 2024, while its College of Pharmacy was ranked 26th.
