Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University (DSNLU) is a National Law University situated at Sabbavaram, Anakapalli district, Andhra Pradesh, India, established under the DSNLU Act, 2008 (Act No. 32 of 2008) of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly. It is named after Damodaram Sanjivayya, the second Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. The university is housed at Nyayaprastha in Sabbavaram with 45.6 acres of built-up area in its first phase, though the establishing Act had originally provided for a main campus at Visakhapatnam. DSNLU offers a 5-year integrated B.A LLB (Hons.) undergraduate course, admission to which is based on the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). Out of 120 seats, 60 are reserved for Andhra Pradesh students, 48 for the All India General category, and 12 for NRI and foreign national candidates. It also offers a one-year LL.M. programme, as well as PhD and LL.D. programmes. The university emphasizes practical training through moot courts, seminars, project reports, expert lectures, internships, and legal aid camps. It has conducted several national and statewide moot court competitions, including the D.V. Subba Rao Memorial Moot Court competition. The current Chancellor is Justice Dheeraj Singh Thakur, and the Vice-Chancellor is Prof. Dasari Surya Prakash Rao.
