Nil Ratan Sircar Medical College and Hospital, also known as NRS Medical College, is a public medical school and hospital located in Sealdah, Kolkata, India. It was established on 1 December 1873 as Sealdah Medical School, later renamed Campbell Medical School in 1884 and Campbell Medical College in 1894. After India's independence, it was renamed in 1948 to honour freedom fighter and physician Sir Nilratan Sircar, a notable alumnus. The institution is recognised under the National Medical Commission and run by the Government of West Bengal, affiliated with the West Bengal University of Health Sciences, offering undergraduate and postgraduate studies. The college has contributed significant medical discoveries, including the Bengal Forceps by Kedarnath Das, Urea Stibamine by Upendranath Brahmachari, and the discovery of cholera toxin by Sambhu Nath De. It also hosts the N.R.S. Medical College Library, spanning about 4,000 square meters, which is part of the British Council Library's institutional membership. Notable alumni include Nilratan Sircar, Vece Paes, Hemchandra Kanungo, Ram Chandra Dome, Haimabati Sen, Uma Saren, Anil Kumar Mandal, Cyriac Abby Philips, Zikrul Haque, Ratan Chandra Kar, and Subhash Mukhopadhyay.
