Universal College of Nursing

Universal College, formerly the Universal College of Nursing, is a school located in Parañaque, Metro Manila, Philippines, established in 2005 by Domingo Tay to address labor demand gaps in local and global markets. Its first program was B.S. Nursing, later joined by Tourism, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Information System, and Business Administration programs. By 2008, all academic programs were recognized by the Commission on Higher Education. The school later added Bachelor of Elementary Education, Bachelor of Secondary Education, BS Accountancy, BS Electrical Engineering, BS Computer Engineering, BS Electronics Engineering, and various short courses such as Culinary Arts, Medical Transcription, and Caregiving NC II. The first B.S. Nursing graduates took the licensure exam in June 2009, with seventeen passing. In 2013, Culinary Arts began offering diploma courses, and in 2016 the school introduced Senior High School programs under Academic and Technical Vocational tracks. The institution comprises six colleges: Nursing and Allied Health Sciences, International Tourism and Hospitality Management, Business and Accountancy, Information Technology, Education, and Engineering and Architecture.
