Vinayaka Mission's College of Pharmacy
Vinayaka Mission's College of Pharmacy, located in Salem, Tamil Nadu, India, was established in 1982 by founder-chairman Dr. A. Shanmugasundaram, marking it as the pioneer institution of the Vinayaka Missions group. It is a constituent college of Vinayaka Mission's Research Foundation (VMRF), a private deemed-to-be-university recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Government of India. VMRF itself originated from the Thirumuruga Kirupananda Variyar Thavathiru Sundara Swamigal Medical Educational and Charitable Trust, founded in 1981, and was granted deemed-to-be-university status in 2001 by the Ministry of Human Resources Development. VMRF accredits nearly 15,000 students across its various constituent colleges, producing about 2,000 graduates annually in fields including medicine, dentistry, homeopathy, paramedical sciences, engineering, management, arts, and science. In 2015, VMRF was accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. Vinayaka Mission's College of Pharmacy itself was ranked 89th in India in the pharmacy category by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2024. Other constituent colleges of VMRF include Vinayaka Mission's Medical College in Karaikal and Vinayaka Mission's Kirupananda Variyar Medical College in Salem.
