K K University
K. K. University (KKU) is a state private university situated in Beraunti, near Bihar Sharif in the Nalanda district of Bihar, India. It was founded in 2017 by Samajik Kalyan Sanstha, operating under the provisions of the Bihar Private Universities Act, 2013. KKU holds the distinction of being one of the first two private universities established in Bihar. Its establishment followed approval from the Bihar Government in May 2017, which came after the passing of the Private Universities (Amendment) Bill, 2017, in March of the same year. This amendment relaxed the earlier requirements for setting up private universities in Bihar, reducing the minimum premises size from 10,000 m² to 5,000 m² and extending the permissible operating period on a temporary site from two years to four years before the institution must relocate to the location specified in its project report. As of February 2024, Prof. Dr. Badiadka Narayana serves as the Vice Chancellor of the university, continuing in that role currently.
